Welding For Every Situation

Welding has become a fixture of the heavy industry, to the point where ordinary people seeing someone with a welding helmet automatically think of big, tough jobs. To a certain extent, that’s true; welding is often a critical part of very big, very complex projects. But welding can also play an important role in smaller jobs, such as a metal sculpture, or even a farmer conducting repairs on the property.

It’s this versatility in welding that makes it such a popular technique, and it is shielded metal arc welding, better known as stick welding, that is one of the most widespread types of welding. It’s easy to see why too; aside from needing an electrical current to power the process, this is not a particularly fussy technique. It works indoors and outdoors and can be used on a variety of different metals, which is why we have a great collection of stick welders for you to look at.

Robust & Versatile

Stick welding technology has been around since the late 19th century. But it wasn’t until the early half of the 20th century that it went into widespread use in heavy industry. It works by introducing an electrical arc between the metal being worked on, and an electrode. Once that arc is established, intense amounts of heat are introduced at the contact point, which can join two pieces of metal together.

One of the reasons why this technique has remained popular, even in a world with plasma cutters, is because it’s so flexible. A side-effect of the arc process is that gas forms a “protective bubble” around the area being worked on, helping to prevent contamination. This makes it easy to attain good quality welds, and that’s why we’ve got a good selection of stick welders for people who need them.

The Brands You Trust

We focus on four big brand names when it comes to stick welders. If you want Miller, Lincoln Electric, Metal Man, or Fronius, that’s the type of hardware we have available. We’ve got accessories that will help you with your stick welding, and we’ve got decently priced budget stick welders.

Of course, for people that are looking for a bit more, we’ve also got premium stick welders on the high end of the quality and pricing range. We even have models that run on batteries so you can do your stick welding even in places where it might not be feasible to break out a generator. Whatever kind of welding you need to do, we’ve got something that can help you with it.

Fair Prices, Fast Shipping

If you know which stick welder is going to suit your needs, we can send the unit or accessory to any address in the continental United States. You won’t wait long at all, and the condition will be perfect thanks to the alliances we have with trusted, experienced shipping partners. There won’t even be any shipping and handling charges to pay. We’ll cover that cost ourselves, as our show of thanks for your choice to support proud American business.
