Safeguard Against Heat with Black Stallion Gloves

The Black Stallion Revco 25G TIG welding glove withstands the high heat from TIG welding. Unlike many cheaper brands that are made for a variety of welding processes, TIG gloves make it possible to handle the hot metal after welding. These gloves also meet all industry standards for safety, so you don’t have to guess whether you or your team of workers are compliant on the job.
Quality materials, the latest in technology and a commitment to innovation make these Revco welding gloves the perfect choice on the job. The gloves bear the Black Stallion logo, so you know you are getting a quality product from the minute you slip them on your hands.

The Black Stallion Advantage

Black Stallion has over 43 years of experience manufacturing high-quality gloves, apparel and other personal protective equipment. Aside from the welding industry, the company also makes products for industrial use, electrical and utility workers, and for the oil and gas industry. The company knows how important it is to meet industry safety standards, so all its products are designed for both comfort and quality in mind.
With a focus on innovation, Lincoln constantly adds new products to its lineup, including the Revco 25G Black Stallion goatskin TIG welding gloves.

Designed for TIG Welding

Gloves made specifically for TIG welding should offer excellent dexterity and touch sensitivity because TIG welding requires a lot of coordination and a light touch. They should also fit snugly to ensure a full range of motion while laying a weld. Kevlar stitching also improves the durability of the gloves. Those made with cotton tend to burn up quicker and need replacing more often.
Black Stallion’s gloves have extra padding inside the palm and along the outside of the hand to safeguard against high heat. It also reduces the likelihood of damage to your skin if you accidentally touch the welding surface when putting the torch up. Wide cuffs let you sling the glove off if it gets too hot. Cheaper gloves with Velcro straps make it harder to remove the glove quickly if you get too uncomfortable.

Choosing Superior Goatskin

Leather is the preferred material of choice for TIG welding because it stands up to the heat and stress caused by the welding gun, and it won’t catch on fire easily. Goatskin is extremely soft and provides an exact fit. The material is lightweight, which helps alleviate strain throughout the day, and it’s oil and weather resistant, so you can use it in a variety of conditions.
Goatskin is also flexible, which makes it easy to pick up electrodes and metal rods and feed them easily. Other frequently used leathers for welding including pigskin, deerskin, cowhide and elk skin, and each one has its benefits and drawbacks.
